CPA EXAM PREP COURSES

CPA PARTS

There are four parts to the CPA Exam:

  • 4 hours
    Auditing and Attestation (AUD)

    (Multiple-Choice Questions – 60% / Task-Based Simulations – 40%)

  • 4 hours
    Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR)

    (Multiple-Choice Questions – 60% / Task-Based Simulations – 40%)

  • 3 hours
    Regulation (REG)

    (Multiple-Choice Questions – 60% / Task-Based Simulations – 40%)

  • 3 hours
    Business Environment and Concepts (BEC)

    (Multiple-Choice Questions – 85% / Written Communication Task – 15%)


You may take each part in any order you choose, as long as you complete all four parts within 18 months. You must pass all four parts of the Uniform CPA Examination. The minimum passing score is 75 over 100.

TESTING WINDOWS

The Examination is offered 5 (and sometimes 6) days per week during two months of every quarter. Testing is available in January & February; April & May; July & August; and October & November. Candidates residing in Lebanon can sit for the test At Amideast Beirut.

Each State Board of Accountancy has different eligibility requirements for the CPA Examination and Licensure, which must be met in order to be eligible to undertake the CPA qualification. For the official evaluation you will need to go through the evaluation process with NASBA (governing body of the qualification in United States), where you need to complete an application online on the NASBA.org website.

But, you normally need:

A Bachelor's degree
A minimum of 120 credit hours to be eligible to take the CPA exams
A minimum of 150 credit hours and 1-2 years relevant work experience to apply for a CPA license
A minimum of 15 semester hours in Accounting and 24 semester hours in business
